Our fourth edition features Anne Dumesnil, Middle-East & North Africa Director – Voyageurs du Monde
🤝 Why did you choose to accept to join the board of the Arabian Tourism Association?
Voyageurs du Monde has always had strong ties with the Middle East, particularly Egypt where we have two boats. Thirty years ago our Founder Jean François Rial and his Associates made a life changing trip to the Sahara. On their return they decided to start a business in travel.
The countries of the region offer a wealth of culture, history, art, food but unfortunately are often tainted with a negative perception. Joining Arabian Tourism Association, ATA was therefore quite a natural move for us.
🏜 Which sites, among the featured countries, would you like the world to discover?
The choice is endless! We have been waiting with growing interest for the opening of the GE Museum in Cairo, due now in October. This outstanding museum will house treasures of Egypt’s past and notably the entire collection of treasures of Tutankhamun. This will be yet another feature for visitors to Cairo, a city of endless discovery, perfect for a long week end.
